Greetings Gay-in-the-Bayers!

Spring is really here and isn’t the glorious sunshine the reason we all choose to live in Bay of Islands?

The next Gay in the Bay Pink (GITB) Drink event will be held on October the 15th in Haruru. (Yay!! I hear some scream.)

To be kept up to date on where, who why and what to do, please make sure you are on our mailing list, as this is the way we communicate the time and place. We are also looking to form a new committee for GITB and we are looking for expressions of interest from folks who’d like to be involved. 

We will be having an early meeting before the October Pink Drinks, so PLEASE – if you love our community here in BOI (and who doesn’t?) and you have great ideas for future events – put your hand up! Use our online form and we’ll take it from there.

We’ve updated the look of our web site, and also moved from the old .co.nz web site to our new home, www.gayinthebay.org.nz  The ‘org’ space is meant for not-for-profit organisations, which is what we are, so is probably more appropriate.

At the same time we are launching our Facebook page. If you’re a Facebook user, please visit us and click ‘LIKE’ which not only makes us feel good, but also ensures that you will get updates on our latest activities and Pink Drinks dates and locations.

And that’s not all – we now TWEET!

Yes, we are on twitter as @gayinthebayNZ so if you’re a fan, subscribe to our tweets and get the latest news that way! Of course, our original email list of over 150 GITBers is still current, and if you’re not on this list, you can request to join via our Contact Us form.

Phew!  That’s enough for the first cut.  We’ll be adding some of our old content (particularly details of events past) over the coming days and weeks.  If you’re a bit of a tech head, and would like to assist with adding content to the site, please let us know!
